Tom Atwood
President of Northern Energy Services LLC. He has a A.S. in Business and is certified by the Building Performance Institute (BPI) as a Residential Building (1 to 4 units) Analyst. Tom is also licensed by the State of Maine to perform energy audit’s, OSHA (10) safety practices. He is also is a certified Fujitsu Heat Pump Elite installer and diagnostic technician. Tom ran his own residential restoration business and worked with other home efficiency contractors prior to starting NES. He believes that energy efficiency goes hand in hand with all phases of construction involved in renovations and retrofits, and enjoys adding building science expertise to his extensive retrofit experience. Outside of work, Tom is involved in various charities devoted to helping veterans and their family’s.
Tom’s home: Tom is the 6th generation to be in his family home. His interest in building efficiency improvements started after inheriting the family home. After some less then successful attempts at improving the homes efficiency without using the “whole home approach”, it convinced him to receive more formalized training through such organizations as the Building Performance Institute as well as receiving hands on experience working with other home efficiency contractors.

Northern Energy Services LLC Field Manager. Gary came to Northern Energy Services LLC bringing over 35 Years of hands on Residential and Commercial construction and renovation experience to better facilitate the installation of your your energy efficiency products. He has build hundreds of homes over the 35 years of his contracting career. New home construction, blueprint reading, residential and small commercial renovations, window replacement, blown in insulation, roofing, siding, kitchens, decks, porches, repairs/maintenance have all come under Gary’s experienced hand during the course of his career.He is certified in lead safe practices (RPP) and has completed the Kennebec Valley Community College course for Air Sourced Heat Pump troubleshooting and installation. He is also is a certified Fujitsu Heat Pump Elite
